The Third Ward

by Gabi

Wearing: Dip Dyed Kimono Urban Outfitters, Low Back Tank Urban Outfitters, Strappy Back Bra Free People, Denim Pants Free People (seen here), Booties Dolce Vita (similar to this and this)

Probably my favorite part about being in Chicago this summer, is being only a hour and a half away from Milwaukee, WI where my parents moved almost exactly a year ago today! They live in this super hip historic part of the city called The Third Ward, where they can walk to just about everything! Every corner there is a cool new coffee shop and one street after another is full of lively resaurants nd bars! I remember the first time visiting and realized why they never wanted to leave! I love coming to visit them, mostly because of the company, but also love finding cool new spots in the area!

If you ever find yourself in the area, a few favorite spots: Colectivo for coffee, The Comet Cafe for breakfast,  The Public Market for fresh food, Antiques on Second for good antiquing, Cafe Centraal for a good patio dinner, & Wicked Hops for drinks

Xo.

San Clemente Snap Shots

by Gabi

This past Sunday my roommates were all gone and I had the day off from work, so I decided to hop in my car and start driving- with no idea where I was heading. I got onto Pacfic Coast Highway, rolled down my windows, jammed to good tunes and found myself in San Clemente; an awesome beach town full of good vibes and A LOT of surf inspo! Every once and awhile you have to get out of your comfort zone, go somewhere new and just explore! It was a good day to clear my head and have some me time- take a look at a few shots I took while exploring!!

- Confession: I am addicted to avocado. So living on Avocado St. would be a dream!  -

- My new friend over at BC Surf Shop, go in he's pretty rad and the store is packed with awesome beach attire! -

- It was like everywhere I walked surf followed me, I didn't mind though! -

- Ended the day with a fish taco on the beach, nothing better than that! -

Happy Wednesday, XO.

Chihuly + Fashion

by Gabi

+ The above two pieces were my favorite in the exhibition.... white of course! +

Wearing: Cut off Shorts (as seen here), Free People Silo Tank, Thrifted Suede Fringe Jacket (similiar to this), Free People Boots (as seen here), Old Bib Necklace (similar to this and this), Michael Kors Sunglasses (as seen here)

This past Friday when I was in Phoenix my grandma asked me if I would want to go see Chihuly’s art work in the Desert Botanical Garden. I had never heard of Chihuly but art in the desert sounded right up my alley so obviously the answer was YES, and let me tell you it was AH-MAZING! I always love me some pops of bright color, and Chihuly's bright pieces of art in between the green of the cacti, trees, and bushes was just unbelievable! Oh and lets talk about my outfit, my new favorite vintage gem of a jacket was the perfect piece of fringe to bring into the exhibit- so many compliments (and stares haha)! It was a great evening to say the least and if you’re in the Phoenix area and love art, I definitely recommend you checking out it out at The Botanical Garden! XO

Stops Along the Way

by Shae

Here’s a few more pictures from my weekend in Cali. If you plan to visit anytime soon, save these hot spots.

Breakfast at The Cottage in La Jolla, complete with blueberry-granola pancakes, eggs, and cinnamon French toast. Get there; it’s delicious.

Quick stop at Surfin Donuts in San Clemente on our way to Venice Beach.

Dinner at The Tavern in Coronado. We loved the teal tables, mason jar glasses, and old windowpane menu display.;  a low-key spot with great food and drinks.

Hanging at the Beach in San Diego (oh, water and sunshine; things I hadn’t seen in awhile).

Sunday treats from the Farmer’s Market in La Jolla, which included my favorite thing ever, Mexican Mangos.
