Wearing: Wildfox I Scream LA Sweatshirt, Edyson Jeans as seen here, Forever 21 Turban Headband, Steve Madden Hilight Sneakers as seen here and here, Hailmary Wrap Bracelets as seen here, here and here.
Wildfox is one of those brands that I put on and instantly feel happy. The fabrics are so soft, the sayings and graphics are usually young and whimsical, and the pieces get better with time. I finally stopped in the newly renovated Sofia Boutique here in Chicago to pick up a couple things, and this sweatshirt was on the top of my list. Not only do I love froyo and LA, but the light color and worn-in look make for the perfect weekend sweatshirt and chilly evenings to come.

I don’t know if I’m getting older or just wiser, but my latest obsession has become solid tees that I can wear with fun accessories and a statement shoe. Whether it’s a Vince, Target, or in this case, Stray Heart tee, it’s something that you can keep forever, transition into seasons easily, and layer up or down. Def wiser…

Wearing: BCBG Tank, Kelsi Dagger Heels, Zara Bag similar to this one, Madonna & Child Necklace, Rag & Bone Jeans (do I wear these every day?), Mac Lipstick in Sin as seen here.
It’s right around now when I whine every time I have to put on a jacket, a dark blouse, or a pair of tights. The weather is still freezing, but being in the month of April and seeing the sun is such a tease. So last weekend I basically said screw it, and I busted out these new sandals and colored, flowy tank I had been hiding in my closet. My feet and skin look so beyond pale, so I tried to go for the Anne Hathaway semi-smile, uber white skin, and bold lips.

Happy Belated Easter to all of you who celebrated! I have not given VF much TLC lately because I have been slammed at work (full-time jobs are for the birds) and busy running around. I am marking this start of spring as a time to start accomplishing the little things I’ve been putting off like working on my blog, cleaning my room, and taking better care of myself. Besides the fact that my hair and nails are in dire need of maintenance, that also means eating healthier. A family friend of ours recommended these new NoGii Bars (by The View’s Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who spells her first name like my middle name, with an S not a Z), that I must admit taste more like a candy bar than they do something from the health food aisle. They are easy to travel with, just the right amount of filling, and have the added bonus of being gluten free. (Check here to find out where you can buy them!)
